Neighborhood Association Elections will be October 30th: Find Where and How to Vote

Neighborhood Elections | October 30th, 2018

On Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018 the City of Birmingham will hold elections for Neighborhood Associations in all 99 neighborhoods. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

To vote at the polls, residents must present a utility bill, picture ID or voter registration card with resident’s name and physical address.

Residents must vote at their designated polling place that is cited in the list of neighborhood polling places.

Absentee ballots will be available for residents interested in voting but are unable to go to the neighborhood polling sites on election day because of the following reasons:

  • Disability or illness
  • Out of town

How to Apply for an Absentee Ballot

Contact one of the city’s Community Resource Representatives no later than Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018 to request to have an absentee ballot mailed to you. The CRRs to contact are:

Upon receipt of your request, you will be mailed an absentee ballot containing the names of the individuals seeking office in your neighborhood. When submitting an absentee ballot, a resident must include a copy of a utility bill, their picture ID or voter registration card that shows the resident’s name and physical address.

All absentee ballots must be received or personally delivered to the CRR Office at City Hall on the fourth floor by 5 p.m. on Oct. 30, 2018.
