The Council of the City of Birmingham met by way of virtual conferencing on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 9:30 a.m., in regular meeting.

 

The meeting was opened with prayer by Councilor John Hilliard.

An Ordinance “TO FURTHER AMEND THE DONATION FUND BUDGET” for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2021, by appropriating $1,500.00 to Wylam Neighborhood Association for general use. Funding Source is Insurance Proceeds received.

 

ITEM 23.

An Ordinance “TO FURTHER AMEND THE NEIGHBORHOOD ALLOCATIONS FUND BUDGET” for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2021, by transferring $6,100.00 from Powderly Neighborhood Association, Capital Projects and appropriating $6,100.00 to Fund 001 General Fund; and “TO FURTHER AMEND THE GENERAL FUND BUDGET” for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2021, by appropriating $6,100.00 to Park and Recreation, Non Capital Furniture and Non Capital Equipment (i.e., for the purchase and installation of WIFI, answering machine, 2 desks and 2 computers for the Henry Crumpton Park and Recreation Center.)

ITEM 44.

A Resolution approving payment to Jefferson County Department of Health, Birmingham, in the amount of $901.14, for grease control program permit renewals for City Hall and the Birmingham City Jail, for the Public Works Department in accordance with Section 3-1-7 of the Birmingham City Code.

 

ITEM 45.

A Resolution approving payment to Rich’s Collision Repair LLC, Adamsville, Alabama, in the amount of $315.00 for wreck repair on vehicle number 184376, for the Department of Equipment Management in accordance with Section 3-1-7 of the Birmingham City Code.

 

ITEM 46.

A Resolution approving payment to Rich’s Collision Repair LLC, Adamsville, Alabama, in the amount of 1,771.80 for wreck repair on vehicle number 084338, for the Department of Equipment Management in accordance with Section 3-1-7 of the Birmingham City Code.

 

 

            The resolutions and ordinances introduced as consent agenda matters were read by the City Clerk, all public hearings having been announced, and unanimous consent having been previously granted, Councilmember O’Quinn moved their adoption which motion was seconded by Councilmember Alexander, and upon the roll being called, the vote was as follows:

Nays: None

 

The vote was then announced by the City Clerk, whereupon the Presiding Officer declared said resolutions and ordinances adopted.

 

 

NOTE:  The City Clerk declared that all of the agenda items are essential functions of the City in accordance with the stipulations outlined within the proclamation declared by Governor Kay Ivey for municipalities to hold regularly scheduled meeting by virtual conferencing.
