Starting March 12, part of Rev. Abraham Woods Jr. Boulevard will be closed for utility work
Birmingham, AL – Alabama Power Co. will close the right, westbound lane of Rev. Abraham Woods Jr. Boulevard from 24th Street North to 23rd Street North, effective Monday, March 12.
The lane closure is necessary to allow installation of underground power lines. The work will continue through March. Motorists should expect delays in this area. Motorists should use caution and be mindful of the utility crews working near the boulevard.
Motorists are encouraged to consider alternate routes such as Sixth Avenue North to Richard Arrington Jr. Boulevard.
