I-59/20 on-ramp closing starting March 11
BIRMINGHAM – Starting Monday, March, 11, a portion of the Interstate 59/20 on-ramp will be closed to incoming traffic from northbound Ensley Avenue and the westbound Access Road going south/west onto I-59/20 to remove and replace the Traffic Channel Island at the ramp opening.
The detour route will be along the eastbound access road paralleling I-59 south/I-20 west and continue along to 20th Street to the west and back onto Ensley Avenue South. Drivers will be able to enter the ramp from Ensley Ave. southbound.
This work is anticipated to last until March 19.
